Program Line-Up
In conjunction with Malaysia Day, HARMONICO with the collaboration of various participating organisations made the weekend fully packed with many activities spanning the whole day with programs varying from literature, traditional performances, and health and fitness programs which drew in a large number of attendees.

On 16th September 2023, the Penang Harmony Centre was bustling with an array of activities which started with a Zumba Hari Malaysia by our lively partner from Healthy Workout.
Penang Harmony Centre also received visitors who witnessed soulful poetry readings during Readings@Tanjong: Negara Kita accompanied by traditional performances from local communities. Then, HARMONICO premiered its Peace Short Film and had a screening of the movie ‘ADIWIRAKU’, a local award-winning masterpiece.
HARMONICO also took the opportunity to have the second instalment of Let’s Talk, an interfaith dialogue discussing youth’s opinion on interfaith representation in the media together with Penang Youth Development Corporation.
The second day was equally packed starting with Tai Chi and Yoga sessions being conducted by the Persatuan Taiji Qigong Pulau Pinang and Nattukottai Chettiar Heritage Society respectively.
A Multifaith Exhibition was also held in the Penang Harmony Centre hall where multiple religious organisations such as Yayasan Islam Penang, Hidayah Centre Foundation, City Parish Penang, the Malaysian Buddhist Association, the Federation of Taoist Associations Malaysia, Penang Hindu Sabah and Wadda Gurdwara, Penang set up booths to showcase and allow the public to gain understanding of each other’s faith.
Penang’s Health Department had provided Dental Services through their mobile dental services while a Blood Donation Drive was conducted by Penang Adventist Hospital. Concurrently, there were Harmony Family Games organised by the Penang Women’s Development Centre (PWDC) where there were life-sized snake and ladder games and postcards colourings.
