BODHI HEART SANCTUARY

Penang Bodhi Heart Sanctuary is a quaint and beautiful place tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city at Mount Erskine, Penang Island. The sanctuary opened its doors in 2006 and till date is operated by laities. An interesting attribute about the place is that it’s a non-sectarian Buddhist meditation centre that supports the propagation of all Buddhist practices.

Penang Buddhist communties and non-Buddhist alike are able to have their retreats in one the five spacious halls the sanctuary has to offer. Something you wouldn’t want to miss when you’re there is the lined ruppas leading to the square courtyard that were contributed by devotees.
